Skin patch test is a way to test a new skin care product or ingredient to see if it works for your skin. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, it is recommended that you perform a patch test before using a new product. Please note that even natural ingredients, such as herbs, oils, or essential oils, can cause an allergic reaction.
Skin patch test steps:
After washing and drying the skin area to be tested, apply a small amount of the essential oil product to the upper part of your inner arm (the crook of the elbow)
Apply adhesive tape and avoid contact with water for 24 hours
If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients in the product, you may experience redness, burning, itching or other irritation within 24 hours
If there are no signs of adverse reactions after 24 hours, you may consider it is safe use the particular essential oil product(s)
